Philosophy
These apps are pretty much without exception built primarily for my own use, but I spend a fair bit of time trying to build them in ways that they are useful to other people. Some of them I package for convenient download or make available on various stores, but if not they are open-source and you are welcome to build them yourself.
Disclaimer (AI): They all have some hand-coding but I use Claude heavily to assist.
Disclaimer (Support): I do my best to support them within the constraints of real life but this support is free and therefore entirely at my discretion.
Projects
-
Finale A minimalist cross-platform Jellyfin music player. -
ChordSheet A ChordPro editor and two-column performance player for macOS — chords over words, transpose, song search and PDF export. -
Take Zero Never lose an idea: a macOS recorder that keeps the last few minutes of audio and MIDI, so you can capture a take after you've played it. -
VideoLink A macOS video player that locks picture to your DAW's musical timeline — frame-locked, bar-aware, meter-exact. -
Wave A non-destructive audio editor for macOS and Linux. Flutter UI over a Rust audio engine. -
Reader An epub reader for Android with an AI reading companion — select a passage, ask about it. -
Language Learner Flashcards that write themselves: give it a word, get the article, gender, conjugations and examples. -
Score Reader Sheet music that follows you while you play — page turns, next-note highlighting and fingering, driven by a MIDI keyboard.
